The Beginning

After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, President Theodore Roosevelt instilled executive order 9066 which allowed military commanders turn military zones into exclusion zones to house those (i.e. those of Japanese decent) who were considered a potential threat to the USA. The rest, as they say, is history.

This website will explore a little of the life within the internment camps, show some personal accounts of those who were interned and public sentiments against Japanese-Americans, and most importantly, lead you to more resources on Japanese Internment camps.
